Our Athletes

Hincapie Sportswear has been involved in every aspect of the sport from its very inception, and sponsoring athletes and teams is part of that involvement. We hold ourselves to the highest quality standards in everything we do, so we value character and integrity almost as much as race results in our chosen partners. We believe that the future of our sport rests on the shoulders of the leaders and mentors that help develop and cultivate a passion for cycling in new participants, particularly juniors. George and Rich Hincapie are both products of junior cycling programs, and they understand what is possible when young athletes receive support. We provide a full range of support from top professionals to high school clubs, and we’re very proud to be involved with the following teams, clubs and athletes.

p/b Geargrinder

Kenda/5-hour Pro Cycling p/b Geargrinder is a UCI professional continental team that is dedicated to the successful development of professional bicycle racing in the USA. Founded by former rider, Chad Thompson and led by 9-time Tour de France finisher, Frankie Andreu, the team features a strong roster of international talent that is supported by American staff members. With new sponsorship, one of America's premier stage race and criterium rosters, KPC aims to make a bid for the NRC standings and victories at all UCI races they are invited too. The agreement with Hincapie Sportswear is deeper than premium cycling apparel and accessories. The Hincapie U23 Development Team p/b Holowesko Partners is now one of two feeder teams for the Kenda/5-hour Pro Cycling p/b Geargrinder team. Hincapie development riders will have opportunities to compete in larger events alongside the more experienced Kenda/5-hour Pro riders. This relationship should prove valuable for both teams throughout the season and into the future.
